Leadership & Governance

Through their complementary efforts, the governing bodies perform the essential roles ordinarily associated with a board of trustees. Together, the boards help to shape the University’s agenda, inquire into the quality and progress of its activities, and assure that IMIT remains true to its mission.

Board Of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is committed to making IMIT education accessible to all qualified students, facilitating the administration of grant-funded research, and advocating for broad reform in higher education.

Professor Ihechukwu Chiedozie Madubuike
Founder/President Of Board

Prof Madubuike has helped to shape the Character of the Nigerian Society in various capacities. 

Dr. Benjamin Ogwu Ezeali
Board Member/ Pioneer Rector

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Commerce of Nigeria (FCIN).

Rev. Prof. Chimaobi Nnaemeka Madubuike
Board Member

He is a Professor of Agricultural Engineering, having risen through the ranks to become a Professor in 2009.

Governing Council

This governing board is responsible for the oversight of finances and academic quality, ensuring that IMIT Polytechnic thrives and fulfills its mission of Nurturing Critical Wisdom for the Sake of the World.

Professor Chima Korieh
Governing Council Member

Chima J. Korieh is a professor of African History, Gender Studies and Comparative Slavery at Marquette University, United States.

Prof. Klaus Stierstorfer
Governing Council Member

Prof. Klaus Stierstorfer, D.phil.oxon, FEA, studied at the Universities of Regensburg (Germany) and Oxford (UK).

Dr. J.K.J OKONKWO
Governing Council Member

He has a doctorate degree (PHD) in Public Admin. having obtained a Ms. degree in Public Administration, and a Higher National Diploma in Business Admin. & Mangt.
